Due to the handcrafted nature and sophisticated mechanical design of our products, certain technical characteristics are inherent to the product and do not constitute a lack of conformity or a defect under UAE Consumer Protection Law.

1. BACKREST & ALIGNMENT

The flexible yet stable construction of our backrests is designed for ergonomic support during long sessions.

  • RECARO Exo: During international transit or assembly, the backrest may appear slightly shifted in relation to the seat cushion. This is a design characteristic; the backrest can be manually realigned by applying firm pressure.

  • RECARO Aer: The Easy-Lock system ensures tool-free installation. A "click" sound indicates the backrest is securely locked. The mechanism will not close unless the backrest is perfectly positioned.

2. COVERS, STITCHING & CLIMATE ADAPTATION

Each seat is hand-finished. To maintain ideal padding tension:

  • Stitching: Minor deviations in seam straightness may occur due to manual upholstery tensioning and do not affect structural integrity.

  • Creases: Small creases in the fabric or leather are normal and can be smoothed by hand. In the handwheel area of the RECARO Exo, minor ripples are a result of the specialized manufacturing process.

  • UV Radiation & Fading: While our fabrics meet international color-fastness standards, the intense UV radiation in the UAE can cause materials to fade over time if exposed to direct sunlight (e.g., near uncovered windows). Fading due to UV exposure is considered normal wear and tear and is not covered by the manufacturing warranty.

3. ARMRESTS & ADJUSTMENTS

Our multi-functional armrests feature various mechanical adjustment points.

  • Minimal Play: Due to the 4D/5D adjustment mechanisms, a minimal amount of mechanical play (movement) is necessary for the parts to slide smoothly.

  • Maintenance: Occasional "wobbling" may occur if fastening screws loosen after prolonged use. In accordance with UAE safety guidelines, customers are advised to regularly retighten the fastening screws using the Allen key provided (located behind the middle cover of the backrest).

4. MECHANISMS & ACOUSTICS

Our high-quality synchronized mechanisms use sophisticated spring elements.

  • Operational Sounds: When the mechanism is in motion, quiet friction or rolling noises may occur. "Clacking" sounds when reaching end positions (tilting forward or backward) or when engaging locking levers are normal mechanical feedback and do not indicate a functional impairment.

  • Locked Play: A slight degree of movement (front-to-back) when the mechanism is in the locked position is required to prevent mechanical stress and is not a defect.

5. PACKAGING & DELIVERY

To ensure the protection of your premium seat during transit across the UAE or from our central hubs:

  • Box Condition: Our elaborate packaging is designed to absorb impact. Minor external damage to the cardboard box (scratches, small dents, or dust) incurred during courier handling does not imply damage to the seat inside.

  • Refusal of Delivery: In accordance with UAE logistics standards, minor external packaging wear is not a valid reason to refuse delivery unless the product inside is visibly compromised.
